Reasons to skip the gym

I use to think the only way to get results was to go to the GYM! Big equipment, loud music, lifting with all the dudes. #gunshow

It must be those early “bodybuilding” days that still mess with my head. Because I’m here to tell you, you can get amazing results from HOME TOO!
Now there’s noting wrong with the gym. In fact, here are some PRO’s:
  • Lots of equipments
  • Social interaction
  • Childcare
  • Cardio equipment
  • Time “away”
CON’s:
  • Commute
  • Comparison
  • Intimidation
  • Cost
  • TIME

After I had my second baby, I canceled my gym membership. It was just becoming too HARD. Too MUCH.

Load the kids in car, drive to the gym, unload the kids, take them to daycare, pray they don’t cry, workout, get called from daycare because someone is crying, console, back to workout, pick kids up, load them back in the car, drive home. Sound familiar?

2 hours later!!! I just don’t have that kind of time!!

Raising kids, running a business, and all the other things that have to get done for our family to function, it just wasn’t in the cards anymore.

I started working out from HOME. With a set of dumbbells, a band and a chair. I set my clock for 21 minutes. I decided to go HARD, or go HOME. (Just kidding, I was already at home) But I knew if I went hard for just 21 minutes, I would be so much more effective and efficient than if I spent two hours trying to get a workout in at the gym.

I’ve been working out from home now for over 7 months! And I love it! I'm getting results too! Results that are sustainable!

And here's the deal...
It's convenient.
There are no excuses.
It's effective.
It’s not expensive
It’s efficient.

I can even workout when I’m traveling.

I also should mention, I teach local & online fitness classes, that replicate my "at home" workouts. Most of the time, working out is just more fun when you're doing it with others. #community

For this season of life, stepping away from the gym has helped me so much! It’s helped my mindset, my new lifestyle, and has allowed me to balance my own health & fitness with motherhood.

Maybe it's time to give up the gym membership?! Invest in a set of dumbbells, a resistance band & a yoga mat.

I dunno, you have to figure out what works for you, for the season of life YOUR in.

I’m just loving this freedom and these results and I wanted to share with you, that you too, can get amazing results from home!!
